PEERS SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM
(AVAILABLE VIA TELEHEALTH AND/OR IN PERSON) 

 The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERSĀ®) is world-renowned for providing evidence-based social skills treatment to adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional problems.

 Training sessions take place, weekly, for 14 weeks. Parents/Caregivers also partake in weekly group meetings, simultaneously but separate from participants.

 Participants must demonstrate certain pre-requisite skills prior to joining a social skills group. The program teaches those who struggle with social communication such as casual conversation, reading nonverbal cues, and interacting with peer groups:

  • To develop and maintain friendships
  • Electronic communication
  • To use humor appropriately
  • To organize get-togethers
  • To handle disagreements
  • To Change a bad reputation
  • To Handle teasing and bullying
  • Good sportsmanship
  • Conversational skills
